CompositionThe National Council on Justice Affairs consists of 16 members: 1) four members of the judiciary of the Kyrgyz Republic; 2) four representatives of the legislative branch of the Kyrgyz Republic; 3) four representatives of the executive branch of the Kyrgyz Republic; 4) four representatives of public unions.
The representatives of the judiciary are elected by the Judicial Council of the Kyrgyz Republic. The representatives of the legislative branch are assigned by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic among the parliament members of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. The representatives of the executive branch are identified by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. Candidates of public unions’ representatives are elected by the sessions of public unions.
Terms of authority for National Council’s members make up three years. The members of the National Council perform their activities voluntarily. While working for the National Council, the members of the National Council are freed from performing their job responsibilities and their salaries at their primary place of employment are maintained. The Chair of the National Council and his/her Deputy are elected by secret voting from the members of the National Council for 1 year term. At the same time the Chair of the National Council and his/her Deputy cannot be the representatives of the same branch of government or public unions. |
