Composition

The Judicial Council of the Kyrgyz Republic is an elected body of judicial self-government, acting between assemblies of the KR judges and carrying out a policy of the superior JSGB. The Judicial Council shall report to the Congress of Judges.

The Judicial Council is elected by the Congress of Judges by a majority vote of the judges attending the assembly.

The Judicial Council shall be formed of fifteen (15) members elected from the judicial community for three (3) years. The Council members can not be elected for two terms in succession.

The Council is chaired by the Chairman and Deputy Chairman, in case the former is absent.
